IndyCar Rookie Max Chilton Gets Engaged

With a three week gap separating the Verizon IndyCar Series season opener at St. Petersburg and Round Two at Phoenix, the drivers of the field have all found ways to pass the time.

In rookie Max Chilton’s case, the time was used to ask an important question.

Chilton, 24, took to Twitter early on Thursday morning (Mar. 24) to announce his engagement to longtime girlfriend Chloe Roberts.

The couple will have an open weekend to celebrate their big news. The IndyCar Series has Easter weekend off, returning on April 2 for the Desert Diamond West Valley Grand Prix at Phoenix International Raceway.

Chilton, in his first season driving the No. 8 Chevrolet for Chip Ganassi Racing, will be one of many drivers making their first appearance on the Arizona oval.
