Entry List: Heads Up Georgia 250

With a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver winning the season-opening race at Daytona, the NASCAR XFINITY Series field will look for its first confirmed Chase qualifier in Atlanta.

NASCAR released the preliminary entry list for the Feb. 27 Heads Up Georgia 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Tuesday (Feb. 23). The list includes 37 entrants, meaning every team will make Saturday’s race.

Earning a Chase spot with a victory won’t be easy. Four Sprint Cup Series drivers will compete in Saturday’s race, including the previous two champions, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick. Busch will return to the No. 18 Toyota with a familiar livery from NOS Energy Drink, while Harvick will step into the No. 88 with backing from Bad Boy Off Road.

Paul Menard and Brad Keselowski will also compete in the 250-mile event, completing the Cup brigade.

Garrett Smithley will make his NXS debut in the No. 0. Smithley has previously competed in the Camping World Truck Series.

Corey LaJoie, son of two-time NXS champion Randy LaJoie, will return to the series, driving the No. 24 for JGL Racing. Former champion Jeff Green will join TriStar Motorsports in the No. 10.

The XFINITY Series will start the weekend’s festivities at Atlanta on Friday, Feb. 26, completing three practice sessions at 9 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. ET. The field will then return on Saturday for Coors Light Pole Qualifying at 8:35 a.m. ET. Coverage for the Heads Up Georgia 250 will follow at 1:30 p.m. ET, on FOX Sports 1.
