Aric Almirola, Sam Hornish Jr. Running More Xfinity Races for Biagi-DenBeste

Richard Petty Motorsports and Biagi-DenBeste Racing announced today that the two teams will continue their partnership with Aric Almirola and Sam Hornish Jr. in the Xfinity Series. The two drivers will pilot the No. 98 Ford in 10 more Xfinity races.

Hornish, who returned to the Sprint Cup Series full-time this season after some time in the Xfinity Series, will drive the car in five races. Those include this weekend’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at the Texas Motor Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Charlotte Motor Speedway (October) and Texas Motor Speedway (November).

Almirola will pilot the car at the Talladega Superspeedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway (May), Michigan International Speedway (June), Daytona International Speedway (July) and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Biagi-DenBeste Racing team,” said Sammy Johns, director of competition, in a press release. “Everyone on the Biagi-DenBeste team is great to work with, and they continue to supply good cars each weekend. This partnership allows Sam and Aric to spend additional time on track each weekend, ultimately giving us an advantage on Sundays.”

Both Almirola and Hornish Jr. have two starts each this season in the No. 98 Ford. Almirola scored the team’s best finish this season with a top 10 at the Daytona International Speedway. The O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 will mark the No. 98’s fifth race of the season.
