Chris Buescher to Debut New Sponsor at Homestead

At Roush Fenway Racing, sponsor relationships span teams and drivers – and now, Eli Lilly joins those ranks.

The organization has announced that NASCAR Nationwide Series rookie Chris Buescher will have a Lilly product as a primary sponsor onboard the No. 60 Ford Mustang for the Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend.

The sponsor, Humalog KwikPen, a high blood sugar control drug for those affected by Diabetes, has signed on for a one-race deal with Buescher. Lilly, the drug maker, is also the primary sponsor of Buescher’s teammate at RFR, Ryan Reed.

“We are very excited to have Humalog on board,” Buescher said in a release. “The keys to a successful race are quick thinking on the track, quick work in the pits and of course a quick race car, so I can’t think of a better partner on the car than the Humalog KwikPen. Hopefully, we’ll get off to a quick start, finish strong and close out the season with another win.”

Through 31 starts this season, the 22 year-old Buescher has a victory, four top 5s and 13 top-10 finishes. He sits seventh in points despite missing the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway.
