Longtime Auto Racing Writer Jerry Reigle Passes Away

Frontstretch is hearing that longtime short-track racing columnist Jerry Reigle has passed away this morning after nearly a year-long battle with cancer. Jerry was for many years a writer for the Harrisburg Patriot while writing columns for many other publications covering the local racing scene. Jerry recently took a position with Area Auto Racing News and was extremely active in covering local dirt-track racing. Motorsports was not only his profession but his passion.

Our sincerest condolences go out to Jerry’s wife Kelly and his entire family. Mr. Reigle was a very well-liked and respected individual who the racing industry will surely miss. His contributions to the sport will be impossible to replace.
