Bettin’ the Horsepower: 2010 Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at Loudon

All odds are taken from betus.com as of Wednesday evening (June 23).

Favorites

Jimmie Johnson (4/1): JJ is one of the more dominant drivers at New Hampshire and is carrying the momentum off of a first career road-course victory. With just one non-top 10 finish in his last nine starts at Loudon he’s a perennial threat for the win. He may not have the best odds you’re looking for, but if you’re betting for the win this may be your guy.

Kurt Busch (11/1): Looking for better odds? Big Busch could be your man. With a good run at Sonoma ruined on the final lap, the No. 2 team will unload in New Hampshire on a mission. He hasn’t finished worse than sixth in his last four starts at Loudon and led 61 laps last season.

Keep an eye on…

Tony Stewart (14/1): He always heats up over the summer and at 14/1 he could be a solid low risk/high reward play. Started on pole and finished fifth in this event last season and started second and finished 15th at the track’s second date. Led 92 laps in both events combined.

Your longshot worthy of a flier is…

Juan Pablo Montoya (18/1): He may not be 80/1 or even 40/1, but what Montoya is is a good option this weekend. Started and finished 12th in this event one year ago, but began his 2009 Chase in New Hampshire by leading 105 laps and finishing third from the pole.
