Congratulations to NASCAR’s 2006 Champs!

Frontstretch would like to congratulate the three drivers who added champion to their list of accomplishments in 2006, along with the teams and crew chiefs that helped make it all happen!

After six years in the Nextel Cup Series and two runner-up finishes, Jimmie Johnson won the Nextel Cup with a ninth-place finish in the final race of the season! Congratulations also to the No. 48 Lowe’s team and crew chief Chad Knaus.

Kevin Harvick dominated the Busch Series this year, winning the championship by 824 points over second place. He took over the top spot after the second race of the season and never looked back. Nine wins and 32 top 10s later, this double dipper earned his second Busch Series title. Congratulations also go out to the No. 29 RCR crew and crew chief Shane Wilson.

In the Craftsman Truck Series, Todd Bodine helped Toyota earn its first manufacters’ title by picking up three wins en route to his first NASCAR championship! Congratulations also to the No. 30 Lumber Liquidators team and crew chief Mike Hillman Jr.

Will these drivers be able to repeat in 2007? We can’t wait to find out!
