Kevin Harvick Paces 1st 2015 Bank of America 500 Practice at Charlotte

A week after a dominant performance at Dover International Speedway, Kevin Harvick showed just how determined he is to win a championship by being fastest in the first practice session at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday.

Harvick topped the speed chart at a speed of 193.500 mph. Second on the speed chart was Matt Kenseth, with Greg Biffle third. Joey Logano and Kasey Kahne rounded out the top five.

Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Ryan Blaney, Kurt Busch and AJ Allmendinger rounded out the top 10.

Kyle Busch was the slowest Chase driver in 21st.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will qualify for the Bank of America 500 at CMS at 7:20 p.m. ET.
