When one thinks of Fontana, chances are they’re not thinking of wild finishes.
“They could do 10 green-white-checkereds and we’re still not going to make it to the checkered,” said Jeff Gordon.
In Fontana, the status quo returned. Jimmie Johnson had the best car on Sunday, leading eight times for a race-high 101 laps.
One story lost in the shadow of Speedweeks in Daytona was the absence of Carter Simo Racing’s No. 08 car.
