INDIANAPOLIS — RFK Racing team co-owner Brad Keselowski told media on July 25 that the team has picked up a multiyear contract option with current driver Ryan Preece to continue racing in the NASCAR Cup Series.
“We had a multiyear contract with Ryan, and we picked up his option here a few months ago,” Keselowski said in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway media center. “We’re going to continue to keep him as a part of the family for a while.”
Preece is currently in his second full-time year with RFK and has earned a total of three top fives, 18 top 10s and a victory at this year’s Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium.
Preece sits 18th in the Cup standings, 48 points below the Chase cut line.
