Daniel Dye Reinstated By NASCAR, Out at Kaulig

Daniel Dye has been reinstated and is eligible to return to all NASCAR activity after being indefinitely suspended earlier this month, NASCAR announced March 31 via its weekly penalty report.

However, Dye has since announced that he is leaving Kaulig Racing and will no longer drive for the team in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Dye and Kaulig posted statements on their X accounts saying that Dye has chosen to re-sign from the organization, a Kaulig spokesperson saying “we wish him great success in the pursuit of his personal and professional goals.”

“I’m incredibly thankful for my time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and for the chance to compete with Kaulig Racing alongside some of the most passionate fans in motorsports,” Dye said. “At this time, I am stepping away from that role.

“After a lot of honest self-reflection and guidance from mentors I trust, I’ve decided the smartest move for my career is to realign my focus on my long-term objective of becoming a successful driver at the highest level of stock car racing.”

According to Kaulig, Corey LaJoie will drive the No. 10 for the remainder of the season. LaJoie was originally slated to drive the No. 25 for the team this weekend at Rockingham Speedway, but that seat will now be filled by Ty Dillon.

“The last couple months I’ve missed the grind of working towards a goal of success on track,” LaJoie said in a team release. “There’s certainly a lot of work ahead of us getting our Ram trucks to a place where we compete for wins but with the people in the Kaulig Racing building, I believe we will get there.”

“We selected Corey because of his extensive experience in just about every series in NASCAR and how well he worked with our organization at Darlington when he drove the No. 25,” Kaulig CEO Chris Rice said. “He brings the skill, maturity and work ethic we need to get our Ram program where it needs to be. We think he’ll help us speed that development and battle for checkered flags. We’re confident he’s the right driver to help us.”

Dye was indefinitely suspended by NASCAR on March 17 after a video surfaced in which he made insensitive comments about NTT IndyCar Series driver David Malukas.

In three Truck starts this season, Dye had a best finish of 13th at EchoPark Speedway. He also has three appearances in 2026 in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for AM Racing, which has not commented on his status with the organization.
