Gio Ruggiero claimed his second career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series pole at Talladega Superspeedway on Friday, Oct. 17.
Ruggiero ran a lap of 176.380 mph, edging out ThorSport Racing driver Ty Majeski, who will start second.
Ruggiero’s TRICON Garage teammate Corey Heim will start in third, with Matt Crafton and Kaden Honeycutt rounding out the top five.
Luke Fenhaus, Ben Rhodes, Tyler Ankrum, Bret Holmes and Tanner Gray complete the top 10.
In playoff news, Layne Riggs will start at the back of the field due to an unapproved adjustment made before the session.
With 36 trucks on the entry list, all drivers will compete in today’s race.
