Tyler Reif Attempting Truck Debut at Phoenix

Tyler Reif will attempt his debut in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series later this season, driving for Niece Motorsports in the No. 41 at Phoenix Raceway, Niece announced Oct. 8.

McLaren Transport will sponsor the effort.

“I’m really excited to race a truck for the first time, especially with it being at Phoenix with the success we’ve had there,” Reif said in a team release. “It’s probably been my favorite track to race at. I’ve been waiting my whole life to get in a truck, so I’m really excited to finally get my opportunity with this Niece Motorsports group.”

Reif finished runner-up in the ARCA Menards Series East this season with four top fives and five top-10 finishes.

In nine starts in the national series this year, Reif scored three top fives and five top 10s with a best finish of second at Watkins Glen International.

Reif is a former ARCA winner at Phoenix, scoring the victory in the ARCA and ARCA Menards Series West combination event at the track in 2023.

Niece’s No. 41 has been driven by several drivers this season, including Matt Gould, Conner Jones and Josh Bilicki, with the best run coming from Bilicki at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL via an sixth-place finish. With the truck being part time this season, Reif will need to qualify his way in on time to be part of the season-ending race.

“I think Tyler Reif has shown that he is ready to move up and compete in the Truck Series,” Niece GM Cody Efaw said. “He’s been fast this year and has won in nearly everything he’s ever driven. Our team prides itself on finding young talent looking for their first big break, and we feel that Tyler will do a great job for us when he climbs in for the first time in Phoenix.”
