Harrison Burton will not be returning to AM Racing in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for 2026, the team announced Oct. 8.
Burton is departing the team’s No. 25 at the conclusion of the 2025 season next month.
In a post on X, Burton went on to thank the organization: “from day one, the group’s commitment and preparation helped us deliver tangible progress. So far, we have team-record top-five and top-10 results and the organization’s first trip to the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs.
“This season reminded me why I love competing; the teamwork, the focus, and the fight.”
Burton has not announced his 2026 plans.
AM said it plans to announce program plans for the 2026 season at a later date.
Through 29 races this season, Burton has recorded two top fives 10 top 10s. He was eliminated from the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs after the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL last weekend.
