This week on Bringing the Heat with Trey Lyle, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio producer and host Davey Segal provides a look into his career as a motorsports journalist.
Segal — a former Frontstretch employee — recalls his motorsports “made-it” moment with Martin Truex Jr. He also reflects on his time as a NASCAR TikTok star, adding in a few fun stories from that time.
After the interview, Caleb Barnes joins Lyle to discuss the week’s stories, speculating on the Ty Gibbs and Denny Hamlin feud at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. While Gibbs made an eye-raising post on his Instagram account, he surely wouldn’t do anything to remove one of his grandfather’s teams from contention, right?
In other NASCAR Cup Series news, Trackhouse Racing announced Randall Burnett will crew chief Connor Zilisch in 2026, leaving Kyle Busch and Richard Childress Racing. Barnes explains why the Busch-Burnett split isn’t that shocking, but the Zilisch pairing might need some convincing.
