Stock Car Scoop: New Hampshire Provides Preview of Championship Race

After a nonchalant opening round, the Team Penske Fords dominated at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, with Ryan Blaney taking the checkered flag. The race mirrored past championship races at Phoenix Raceway with fast Fords and Blaney moving to the front on the long run.

Caleb Barnes and Luken Glover discuss if today’s action will repeat again in the Arizona desert during the championship race, or if the Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolets may be able to further close the gap.

A big moment occurred in the second stage when playoff drivers Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell had a tough time passing teammate Ty Gibbs. The heated battle involved some frustrated radio from Hamlin, who eventually spun Gibbs out. Should Gibbs have let his teammates past, or was he justified in battling it out on the track?

Before the timer rings, Glover also notes the drivers who face the biggest uphill battle after the race at The Magic Mile.

There is a lot to talk about, but just a little time to do so. Check out Stock Car Scoop on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts!
