Rajah Caruth Joining Hendrick for Kansas

Rajah Caruth will drive Hendrick Motorsports’ No. 17 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Kansas Speedway, the team announced Sept. 18.

No other races for Caruth were announced in the part-time car.

HendrickCars.com will sponsor the effort.

Caruth has competed full time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this season for Spire Motorsports, driving its No. 71. He has one win, three top fives and nine top 10s this season and is currently eighth in points.

He has also made two previous Xfinity starts this season, both for Jordan Anderson Racing, with a best result of 22nd at Dover Motor Speedway.

“I feel extremely excited and thankful for the opportunity and for me, I think about how much I’ve grown since the last time I was fortunate enough to drive a racecar out of this building,” Caruth said in a release. “I believe my experience I’ve accumulated the last few years in the Truck Series, and my partial Xfinity stuff will put me right where I need to be to run up front and hopefully have a good race.”

Caruth previously ran a one-off for Hendrick in the series at Phoenix Raceway in 2023, coming home 14th.

The No. 17 is a car mostly fielded for Hendrick’s NASCAR Cup Series drivers, alongside Corey Day, Caruth and Jake Finch this season.
