Justin Allgaier will begin his pursuit of back-to-back championships from the pole in the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff opener at Bristol on Friday, Sept. 12.
Allgaier posted a lap of 121.113 mph in his No. 7 for JR Motorsports to claim the top spot.
He will start alongside Haas Factory Team driver Sam Mayer, who qualified second.
Aric Almirola and current points leader Connor Zilisch are in row two, while Taylor Gray completes the top five.
William Sawalich, Harrison Burton, Ryan Sieg, Jesse Love and Sheldon Creed round out the top 10.
Blaine Perkins spun on his qualifying lap and hit the inside wall. Perkins sustained front-end damage and will need to make repairs before the event.
Brenden Queen, making his series debut in Kaulig Racing’s No. 11, starts 28th.
With 38 cars on the entry list, all drivers will race Friday night at Bristol
