This week on Bringing the Heat with Trey Lyle, part-time ARCA Menards Series driver Kole Raz joins Dalton Hopkins to talk about his first NASCAR Xfinity Series start at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.
As an AM Racing driver, Raz was able to lean on Harrison Burton to learn more about the Xfinity car and how to approach his debut.
Raz also discusses his racing journey, making his way from Oregon to now making ARCA and NASCAR starts.
After the interview, Caleb Barnes joins Lyle to talk about the hottest topics of the week. The two discuss Hendrick Motorsports’ announcement that the No. 48 will swap pit crews with the No. 77 in the NASCAR Cup Series, and why that may or may not reap benefits.
The two also share whether or not they think Connor Zilisch and Corey Heim are automatic locks to secure a spot in the Xfinity Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway.
The soundbite of the week comes from Josh Berry, who spoke to the media following a second consecutive DNF to open up the Cup playoffs. Barnes and Lyle react to Berry’s demeanor, adding that he very well could be the biggest threat to win at Bristol out of the four drivers below the cut line.
