Bringing the Heat: Kaden Honeycutt Shares Stewart Friesen’s Racer Mentality

This week on Bringing the Heat with Trey Lyle, Frontstretch’s Luken Glover speaks with Kaden Honeycutt about his team change right before the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series playoffs started.

Honeycutt said the change was a “mutual agreement,” sharing more about his mindset to continue chasing wins with Halmar-Friesen Racing and what tracks lay out the best for him in the coming weeks.

After the interview. Mike Neff joins Lyle to talk about the hottest topics of the week. The two discuss further drama from the courtroom battle between 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports as their antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR continue, and what that might mean for the teams in contention in the playoffs.

The two then consider the future focus of Kaulig Racing following its announcement of bringing Ram into the Truck Series. While it may hurt its current relationship with Chevrolet, it could be beneficial in the long term.

The soundbite of the week comes from Ryan Blaney during the midweek playoff media day. Blaney expressed his belief that there isn’t a single odds-on favorite entering the playoffs this year. Lyle and Neff debate whether or not the field can fend off a fourth consecutive Team Penske championship.
