Marcus Armstrong Back at Meyer Shank in 2026

Marcus Armstrong will return to Meyer Shank Racing for the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season, the team announced Aug. 18.

Armstrong is continuing in the team’s No. 66.

“I’m very pleased and grateful to be back with Meyer Shank Racing and my crew for 2026,” Armstrong said in a team release. “The professionalism and attention to detail is a benchmark throughout the field and we have certainly improved with time together, which has been great. We’ll look to build on our momentum and work hard to climb the points standings.”

Armstrong joined MSR in 2025 after two seasons with Chip Ganassi Racing.

In 2025, the pairing has scored two top fives and 10 top 10s.

“We’re thrilled to have Marcus back for 2026,” Mike Shank, co-owner of MSR, added. “He’s really grown a lot this season and we’re seeing that in his results as the season has gone on. His performance this year has shown that he has all the tools to fight at the front. We’re excited to continue building on this progress together.”

Armstrong’s best result so far this season, a third at Iowa Speedway, equals his best at CGR, which came at Detroit in 2024.

The length of Armstrong’s extension with the team was not revealed.
