Brent Crews Nabs ARCA Iowa Pole

Brent Crews has picked up the pole for the Atlas 150. He will lead the 27-driver field to the green flag at Iowa Speedway on Friday, Aug. 1.

The 150-lap race at the 0.875-mile short track is a combination race between the ARCA Menards Series and the ARCA Menards Series East. This is Crews’ second career pole in both the national and East series.

Crews won the most recent event, for both series, at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. The 17-year-old has also been in the news recently, both joining Nitro Motorsports to contest the two ARCA dirt track races and announcing the creation of his own NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team.

Crews was also the fastest in the practice session, ahead of Brenden Queen, who will line up second in the Atlas 150. Butterbean Queen enters the race as the main series points leader.

Lawless Alan and Lavar Scott will comprise row two in third and fourth place. The duo are also second and third, respectively, in main series points.

In his second career start, Sam Corry will start fifth. Driving the No. 70 Toyota for Nitro, Corry debuted with a 13th-place finish at IRP.

Venturini Motorsports teammates Isabella Robusto, Kris Wright and Mason Mitchell will start sixth through eighth, respectively, followed by Eloy Sebastian in ninth and Tyler Reif in 10th.

Reif enters the Atlas 150 second in East points, trailing Isaac Kitzmiller by 14. Isaac Kitzmiller will start 11th. The Atlas 150 is the penultimate race of the East season.

With 27 drivers entered, all will compete in the Atlas 150 on Friday night.
