Christian Eckes Running 2 Truck Races for McAnally-Hilgemann

Christian Eckes will compete in two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing this season, the team announced July 22.

Eckes will run the No. 16, a fifth truck for MHR, at Richmond Raceway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

AAA Premium Batteries will sponsor the No. 16 at Richmond, followed by NAPA Nightvision at New Hampshire.

“Going back to run a couple of truck races with MHR is going to be a great time”, Eckes said in a team release. “Competing in the [NASCAR] Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing this year has been an honor and we’re laser focused on getting into the playoffs.

“I feel like we have some unfinished business at Richmond with MHR since we were right on the cusp of winning there last year and across the board at the flat tracks. Those should be two great opportunities to compete for wins and stay sharp on off weeks from the Xfinity schedule.”

Eckes currently races full time in the Xfinity Series for Kaulig in its No. 16. He has three top fives and eight top 10s in 2025, his rookie season in the series.

Eckes was full time in the Truck Series in 2023 and 2024 for MHR. Last year, he won three races and earned 15 top fives and 22 top 10s, finishing third in points.

Richmond will mark the first time MHR has fielded a fifth truck in 2025. It currently enters four full-time trucks in the series for Tyler Ankrum, Daniel Hemric, Connor Mosack and Jack Wood.
