Kris Wright, Our Motorsports Part Ways

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Kris Wright and Our Motorsports have officially parted ways, according to a release from Kris Wright Racing.

Wright will be replaced in the No. 5 Chevrolet this weekend at Dover Motor Speedway by Kaz Grala.

“I appreciated the opportunity to work with Our Motorsports and to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season,” Wright said in a statement. “While I’m stepping away from the No. 5 car, I’m excited for what lies ahead and thankful for all I’ve learned during my time in the Xfinity Series.”

After 18 races this season, Wright is currently 29th in the overall driver standings with a best finish of ninth at Martinsville Speedway earlier this season.

Wright has competed in 34 NASCAR Xfinity Series races over the course of three seasons, making his series debut in 2021 with Sam Hunt Racing at the Daytona International Speedway road course, finishing 18th.
