Nolan Siegel will be evaluated by the NTT IndyCar Series medical team on Thursday, July 17 to see if he will be cleared to compete at this weekend’s race in Toronto.
Siegel suffered a concussion after a crash in the first IndyCar race at Iowa Speedway on Saturday, July 12. This caused the Arrow McLaren driver to miss the action on Sunday’s race of the doubleheader.
The team will take precaution and bring along Linus Lundqvist to the track as a reserve driver if Siegel isn’t cleared to compete.
If Lundqvist does start this weekend it would be his first start of the year.
Currently, Siegel sits 21st in the standings with two top 10s on the season.
