On this week’s episode of Frontstretch Happy Hour, hosts Bryan Nolen, Michael Massie and Dalton Hopkins are joined by Jayski.com‘s Dustin Albino to talk about their experiences in the city of Chicago during NASCAR’s annual street race.
The four also discuss Shane van Gisbergen‘s recent NASCAR Cup Series success and bid for this year’s playoffs. Will he make it out of the first round? Should he be there in the first place? Are people tired of him winning yet?
Afterward, Hopkins and Nolen talk about their first-person viewpoints of the post-race feuds between Ross Chastain and Joey Logano and also between Bubba Wallace and Alex Bowman. Who was in the right? Who was in the wrong? Will we see more of it?
Finally, the group dissects and debates the final moments of the race after Cody Ware slammed into the turn 6 tire barrier of the Chicago street course to bring out the final caution. Should and could NASCAR have thrown out the caution sooner to render an overtime finish?
