Layne Riggs won his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series pole at Pocono Raceway on Friday, June 20.
Riggs set a lap of 169.409 mph to claim the pole for Front Row Motorsports, his first in 42 starts.
Niece Motorsports driver Kaden Honeycutt joins Riggs on the front row, qualifying second.
Truck points leader Corey Heim qualified third, with Carson Hocevar and Tanner Gray rounding out the top five.
Gio Ruggiero, Andres Perez, Rajah Caruth, Brandon Jones and Patrick Emerling qualified sixth through 10th.
Clay Green blew a tire in turn 1 and smacked the outside wall on his qualifying lap. Green’s No. 22 sustained right-side damage and will start at the rear on Friday.
Ben Rhodes and Dawson Sutton were the other two drivers who didn’t make a qualifying lap.
With 35 trucks on the entry list, all drivers will race..
