The NASCAR Cup Series closed out its weekend at Nashville Superspeedway with Ryan Blaney picking up his first win of the 2025 season, holding off a late charge from Carson Hocevar. With Nashville in the books, the series now shifts to Michigan International Speedway. While it’s still too early to know who will come out on top, we do know who will be in attendance this weekend.
Grand Marshal
Detroit Lions safety, Kerby Joseph, will serve as the grand marshal for the FireKeepers Casino 400. The All-Pro defensive standout will deliver the command ahead of Sunday’s race at Michigan.
Drafted 97th overall by the Lions in 2022, Joseph has quickly emerged as a cornerstone of Detroit’s resurgent defense. He made waves as a rookie with a two-interception game against Aaron Rodgers — part of a historic season that saw him pick off the Packers legend three times. By 2024, Joseph had become the league’s interceptions leader with nine, helping power Detroit to a 15-2 record, an undefeated road campaign, and the franchise’s first-ever No. 1 NFC playoff seed.
Pre-Race Concert
Country artist, Nate Smith, will perform at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, June 8, as part of the Busch Light Summer Music Series. His pre-race concert will take place ahead of the FireKeepers Casino 400.
Smith is known for hit songs including “Whiskey on You,” “World on Fire,” and “Bulletproof,” all of which have reached No. 1 on the country charts. He has over 2 billion career streams, multiple gold and platinum records, and has received nominations from the CMA, ACM, CMT, and iHeartRadio Awards.
