Jake Bollman Wins Rain-Shortened ARCA West Race at Colorado

Jake Bollman won a rain-shortened ARCA Menards Series West race at the Colorado National Speedway on Saturday, May 24.

The race did not reach halfway, but excessive rains caused the series to make an early decision to call the event.

The win marked Bill McAnally Racing’s 100th in the West series. For Bollman, it’s his first career ARCA win.

Kyle Keller finished second, spending the entirety of the event in the runner-up position. Trevor Huddleston hustled from last to finish third in the brief green flag run, with Eric Johnson Jr. and Tanner Reif completing the top five.

The remainder of the top 10 saw Robbie Kennealy, Todd Souza, Blake Lothian, Eric Rhead and Holly Clark finish sixth through 10th. Mariah Boudrieau and David Smith rounded out the field in 11th and 12th.

Bollman got an early uncontested lead off the race’s initial start. Further back, Huddleston, who entered the race tied for the points lead, started in the rear due to an unapproved adjustment.

For the first 20 laps of the race, only Huddleston made any true progress through the field, finding the top five. Everyone else stayed largely single-file, with Bollman leading. Keller, however, never let him get too far away from his No. 71.

Just as the race reached the one-third mark in distance, Mother Nature reared its ugly head. Bollman had set sail, building a lead over second-place Keller, but rain began to fall on the track, bringing out a yellow flag.

After a lengthy red-flag period to wait out the rain, the series called the race early. Bollman was crowned the winner after just 60 laps.

ARCA West now takes a few weeks off before returning on June 14 for the series’ second trip to Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in 2025. That race will be aired at 10 p.m. ET on FloRacing.
