Kyle Larson, William Byron Join Spire Truck Program

Kyle Larson and William Byron will run multiple NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races for Spire Motorsports this season, the team announced March 4.

The Hendrick Motorsports teammates are joining the team by driving its No. 07.

Larson will start driving duties for the team on March 21 at Homestead-Miami Speedway and return April 11 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

In between Larson’s starts, Byron will pilot the No. 07 at Martinsville Speedway.

“I love racing at Homestead-Miami and Bristol, so I’m excited to add those truck races to my schedule,” Larson said in a team release. “Hopefully we can put on a great show with HendrickCars.com on board and battle for the victories in the Spire truck.”

“I’m excited to get back to the Truck Series,” Byron added. “It’s been a couple years for me so I’m ready to try it again. Plus, the last time I ran a truck at Martinsville we won. Hopefully we can do that again because it really paid off for us on the Cup side of things. Spire is a great group and I’m excited to work with them again.”

Both Larson and Byron have not raced in the Truck Series since 2023 when the series returned to North Wilkesboro Speedway. Larson won that race with Spire.

Byron holds the distinction as the first driver to win with Spire in the Truck Series when he took home the checkered flag at Martinsville in 2022.

The No. 07 that the duo will pilot will be sponsored by HendrickCars.com in all three races.

So far in 2025, the No. 07 has been driven by Spire full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver Michael McDowell in both races.
