The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Kansas Speedway to kick off the round of 12, and there are 38 cars for 40 positions.
All 38 cars will take the green flag, barring any entry list changes.
Justin Haley is in the No. 7 for Spire Motorsports. Haley and Corey LaJoie have swapped rides for the remainder of the 2024 season, and this is Haley’s first start for Spire since 2021. LaJoie takes over for Haley in Rick Ware Racing’s No. 51 entry and will do so until season’s end. This is LaJoie’s first race with RWR.
Kaulig Racing taps Ty Dillon for its No. 16. He’s making his seventh Cup start of the year and fifth with Kaulig.
JJ Yeley makes another start in the No. 44 for NY Racing.
Seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson is in the No. 84 for his own team, Legacy Motor Club. It’s Johnson’s seventh race of 2024.
