Kern County Raceway Park Renamed for Kevin Harvick

Kern County Raceway Park has been renamed Kevin Harvick‘s Kern Raceway, track officials announced Nov. 29.

The rebranding comes amid an ownership change; Tim and Lisa Huddleston, parents of ARCA Menards Series West competitor Trevor Huddleston, have bought the speedway.

The name change honors the recently retired Harvick, who is a Bakersfield, Calif., resident, the location of the track.

According to a release, Harvick will also work with the Huddlestons on decisions relating to the track’s future.

“Bakersfield is my home, and I am committed to giving back and ensuring a bright future for motorsports in our community,” Harvick said in a release. “Together with Tim and Lisa, we will do everything in our power to make racing in Bakersfield as strong as it has ever been.”

“Kevin Harvick’s involvement is a game-changer for Kern Raceway,” Tim Huddleston added.  “His expertise and commitment will propel us to new heights. Together, we aim to create an electrifying racing experience for fans and competitors alike.”

Kern was featured on the ARCA West schedule in 2023. The series’ 2024 schedule has not yet been announced.
