Michael Cosey Jr. and Front Row Motorsports Off to Hot Start

Michael Cosey Jr. has been well known outside of the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series for his large YouTube following within the broader racing community. Now, he is making the most of his opportunity as a rookie for Front Row Motorsports with a strong start to the 2023 season.

Cosey Jr. scored an impressive fourth-place finish on Tuesday night (March 14) at the virtual Atlanta Motor Speedway. That makes it two top fives in the first three races of this young season and he now sits fourth in the points. The similarity between his two top fives? Both superspeedways in Daytona and now Atlanta. His other finish was 21st at the Milwaukee Mile, but according to Cosey Jr., he is feeling confident going into Richmond in two weeks.

“Daytona was crucial—you have to take advantage of what you can early in the year, especially being a rookie. I feel very comfortable going to Richmond in two weeks, so let’s keep it going,” said Cosey Jr. about his strong start.

For many years, Cosey Jr. has been better known to many as “Windvow8820” on YouTube. With over 32,000 subscribers, he has been entertaining the racing community for some time, and he continues to do so outside of eNASCAR. Making the Coke Series has only added to his following, but he enjoys what he does outside of the series, no doubt.

Front Row Motorsports also finds themselves leading the team standings after Atlanta. For a brand-new team, it is quite impressive how strong both Cosey Jr. and teammate Allen Boes have been in the first three races. The team owns the best average finish with a 19th and they are tied for the most number of top-five finishes with two, both from Cosey Jr.

Now that Cosey Jr. is fourth in points, where does he see the rest of the season going from here? “The goal the rest of the way is top 20. I remember looking at the second half of the schedule and not being a fan of many tracks, but getting out to this great start is crucial towards avoiding relegation at the end of the year.”

You can catch Cosey Jr. and his No. 38 Front Row Motorsports Ford Mustang on the track next in two weeks (March 28) at Richmond Raceway. As Cosey Jr. said, he feels extremely comfortable at Richmond so he should have a great chance at continuing this hot start to 2023.
