Sam Hunt Racing is entering two cars at the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, SHR announced Jan. 26.
Jeffrey Earnhardt, who was previously announced for a part-time schedule with the team in its No. 26, will pilot the No. 24.
He joins Ryan Truex, who’s driving the No. 26.
Earnhardt started 29 Xfinity races in 2021, all for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller, with a best finish of 18th at Dover Motor Speedway.
Previously, Earnhardt revealed that his schedule in the No. 26 was for seven races, with sponsorship from ForeverLawn. His first race in the No. 26 has not yet been announced.
