Taylor Gray will run seven NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races in 2021 for David Gilliland Racing, the team announced Jan. 21.
Gray’s debut was announced as part of a larger team announcement for DGR’s lineup across the Truck and ARCA Menards series in 2021.
His debut will come at Richmond Raceway in April in the team’s No. 17. Chad Johnston will be his crew chief.
Gray’s other races for 2021 were not revealed, but he can only run at tracks on the schedule approved for drivers younger than 18.
Gray joins DGR full-timers Hailie Deegan and his brother, Tanner Gray, who will drive the Nos. 1 and 15, respectively, the latter returning to his ride after also driving it full time in 2020.
He’ll also run a schedule for the team in ARCA, including a full ARCA East season.
The 15-year-old, who will turn 16 in March, competed in 12 ARCA events in 2020, scoring eight top fives and 11 top 10s.
Earlier this week, he was penalized by ARCA for filming his test at Daytona International Speedway in ARCA over the weekend.
