Thad Moffitt Joins DGR-Crosley in ARCA Menards Series Season Opener

Thad Moffitt will compete for DGR-Crosley in the ARCA Menards Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway, the team announced Thursday (Jan. 9).

Moffitt, whose grandfather is Richard Petty, will be sponsored by Performance Plus Richard Petty Signature Series, and his car will be adorned with the Petty Blue paint color.

In seven events in 2019, Moffitt earned four top 10s in the No. 46 car of Empire Racing.

“Daytona is a very special place for my family,” Moffitt said in a team release. “I had the opportunity to race there last year in the ARCA Menards Series, and can’t wait to go back. Between the experience I’ve gained throughout the course of the season, and the talent within the DGR-Crosley organization, I feel confident that we will have a strong showing.”

The Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire is set to run on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 4:45 p.m. ET.
