NASCAR on TV this week

Thank You Frontstretch Fans!

Dear Frontstretch readers,

After nine months and over 40 weeks of racing in NASCAR’s top-three series, the season has come to a close once again. It’s been a tough year for the sport, with sagging attendance, sponsorship, and TV ratings causing us all to question the series’ future direction at some point. But while the fans may not be hitting the racetrack or turning on the television to watch the main event, even the most jaded of fans has proven more than ever that you’re still interested in the various happenings surrounding this sport.

Why in the world would I say that? Because our site has hit record growth this year in the face of all this negative news. With your interest and support, readership in the newsletter is roughly double what it was this time last year; and with advertising no better than the word of mouth you spread about the great content provided on our site, we’ve hit new highs in the numbers of site visitors for the third straight season, with over one million hits registered since April. While other parts of NASCAR may be contracting, Frontstretch continues to grow – and we can’t be more thankful for your support.

We hope to undergo some exciting changes in the offseason, but no matter how big or how well-read the site has become, always know that our mission statement remains the same. Our goal is to give a diverse set of opinions on the sport by the best group of devoted journalists out there, then let you make the call on what you agree or disagree with. And when it comes to news and interviews with NASCAR aficionados, we’re willing to give you the real facts and hard-hitting questions more than any other outlet covering this sport. You expect the truth, not political correctness, and we try our hardest to deliver it to you in as many ways we possibly can. And no matter how hard negative news may try and bring us down, we will always make covering this sport fun. In short, it’s our pleasure to bring you the best of NASCAR News and Information, and we look forward to continuing to grow and prosper in the coming year.

Now, we’re off to spend some much needed time with friends and family, just like you. Please note that beginning tomorrow, Tuesday November 25th there will be no new content on Frontstretch over the Thanksgiving holiday. Newsletter delivery will also be suspended until Monday, December 1st.

During the offseason, the newsletter will scale back to weekly delivery on Mondays:

December 1st
December 8th
December 15th
December 22nd
December 29th
January 5th
January 12th
January 19th
January 26th

Daily newsletter delivery is expected to resume on Monday, February 2nd, 2009 with all your favorite columnists you’ve come to grow and love.

Keep in mind there will be offseason content daily on the website beginning Monday, December 1st. Check back for exciting driver reviews and random columns by some of your favorite writers. We look forward to continuing to make you smile, laugh, think and eagerly anticipate the return of the sport we all love in a little less than three months.

Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving holiday.

Sincerely,

Tom Bowles
