Entry List: 2015 Buckle Up 200 at Dover

The NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) will have to entertain fans without a full field when they head to Delaware.

NASCAR released the list for the May 30 Buckle Up 200 presented by Click it or Ticket at Dover International Speedway on May 24. The entry list contains only 38 drivers, two short of a full field, meaning every driver will make Saturday’s race.

Matt Kenseth and Erik Jones will return behind the wheel of two Toyotas for Joe Gibbs Racing. Kenseth will drive the No. 20, while Jones will run in the No. 54.

Kasey Kahne will return behind the wheel for JR Motorsports in the NXS for a second-straight week. Kahne, 35, will drive the No. 88 Chevrolet after wheeling the No. 5 Chevrolet to a third-place finish in Charlotte.

Brennan Poole will return to the No. 42 Chevrolet for HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi.

BJ McLeod, Jeff Green, CJ Faison and Morgan Shepherd will also return to NXS action.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will take to Dover on May 29 for two practice sessions. The field will then return on May 30 for Coors Light Pole Qualifying at 11:15 a.m. ET and the Buckle Up 200 presented by Click it or Ticket at 2:30 p.m. ET, both shown on FOX Sports 1.

What, a short field! Who wouldn’t want to invest a small fortune to have the honor of providing extra practice for Cup drivers? And, KNOWING going in that sponsorship would be difficult and there wasn’t a chance at a payday, who could pass that up? Those silly fans, suggesting that Cup drivers are killing the series, what are they basing that on?

russ

Still say its the Cup teams JV squads rather than the drivers that are the problem. You and I could probably do pretty well in a Gibbs, Hendrick/JR car.

Seems to me that the bottom two touring series are in serious trouble. At what point will Nascar pull the plug? When they can no longer get other people to finance it.

I know this goes against the hating the school yard bully campaign. but damn do you people give a thought not about the “Cuppers” who have done this forever and as you claim “stealing…etc. Pick one. How about the powerhouse teams of HMS (re.. JMR) Or JGR? Do you really think the sponsors of Joey Gase no matter who HMS OR JGR have driving in their cars, a Joey Gase can compete? Yes poor Chase Elliot is put upon by a bad ass Cupper, oh please. Let’s get a dose of economic reality in this argument please. And I ALWAYS root for Joey Gase!!!!!!!!! I am just realistic.
