5 Points to Ponder: Atlanta Loses to Kansas?, Even Champs Get Shaky & “Chase Time”

I can’t believe there is a NASCAR fan that prefers two Kansas races over two Atlanta races.
In keeping with the 2011 season, one statistical oddity is emerging. So far this year, the driver who led the most laps did not win the race.
This week, I’m going to take a look at the Chase picture and see who’s in, who’s nearly in and who’s out of the picture altogether with just three races to go.
Tempers, as is often the case with the twisties, were at a premium after the race with Boris Said and Greg Biffle getting involved in a little contretemps.
Despite the inclement weather this past weekend, we got there in the end with a truly packed day at picturesque Pocono Raceway on Sunday (Aug. 7).
So with six races to go before the Chase starts, there’s still plenty of time to get your money on your favorite NASCAR driver.
