Chase Briscoe Claims 2nd Straight Cup Series Pole at Nashville

Chase Briscoe turned the fastest lap in NASCAR Cup Series qualifying from Nashville Superspeedway, with an average speed of 164.395 mph to earn the pole for Sunday night’s (June 1) Cracker Barrel 400.

The pole marks the fifth of Briscoe’s career and his third of the season, after previously earning the top spot at the Daytona 500 in February and at Charlotte Motor Speedway this past weekend.

Briscoe’s Joe Gibbs Racing Teammate Denny Hamlin will start beside him on the front row, with William Byron being the highest starting Chevrolet in third. Tyler Reddick and Ross Chastain rounded out the top five.

RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski scored his best qualifying effort of the season with a sixth-place start, while Christopher Bell will roll off seventh, his third consecutive week starting inside the top 10. Michael McDowell, Joey Logano and Chris Buescher completed the top 10.

With 39 cars entered, all 39 of them made the race with no one going home.
