This week’s edition of Bringing the Heat continues the conversation with former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Mike Skinner. Listen to part one here.
This week, Frontstretch’s Dalton Hopkins dives deeper with Skinner to discuss his journey into the media side of the NASCAR world.
Skinner also talks about his involvement in coaching some of NASCAR’s up-and-coming talent.
Stephen Stumpf then joins Bryan Nolen to talk about the very latest around the sport. With rumors that Bowman Gray Stadium is expected to be the host site in 2026 for the Cook Out Clash, the guys discuss whether or not the site will be the right place for another successful event.
The Soundbite of the Week comes from Carson Hocevar, who finished second last weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The finish didn’t come without ruffling some feathers of some of his mentors and fellow competitors. Hocevar talks about how he made his way into the runner-up spot, his best career finish.
The show wraps up with a look ahead to this weekend’s racing at the Circuit of the Americas. Nolen and Stumpf look at the new track layout and the Cup debut of Connor Zilisch. The younger driver is already a heavy betting favorite.
