On this episode of Bringing the Heat With Bryan Nolen, Dalton Hopkins checks in with defending NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier. The Illinois native discusses the busy offseason that comes with winning the hardware plus other family endeavors.
Allgaier goes deep into discussion of the much-anticipated team debut of JR Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Allgaier will have to race his way into the show in his No. 40 Chevy.
Chase Folsom then joins Nolen to take a look at What’s Still Hot, breaking down all the action from a couple weeks ago at Bowman Gray Stadium as the Cup Series held its annual Cook Out Clash at the historic venue for the first time.
Then Nolen and Folsom take a look down the road at the future of the Clash and where some good future sites could hold the event.
The sound bite of the week features some thoughts from Shane van Gisbergen, the now-full-time Cup driver in 2025, on how he felt about getting around the bullring of Bowman Gray.
The show concludes with the duo giving some opinions on the new provisional rules set in place for race weekends, as well as where the Clash should never go back to in the near future.
