Tyler Tomassi will run two NASCAR Xfinity Series races for MBM Motorsports in 2025, MBM announced Jan. 15.
Tomassi will pilot the No. 66 at Martinsville Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway in March and April, respectively.
Should he qualify, the races will mark Tomassi’s Xfinity debut.
“I’m honored to be making my Xfinity Series debut with MBM,” Tomassi said in a team release. “Getting here has taken a lot of hard work and support from so many people. I want to give a huge thank you to Carl Long [MBM owner] and the team at MBM Motorsports for giving me this incredible opportunity.
“I’m beyond grateful to my team and everyone who’s supported me along the way.
This is a big step in my career, and I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got. I can’t wait to get on the track and make the most of this opportunity!”
Added Long, “MBM is where a lot of young drivers get their start. I am looking forward to putting Tyler behind the wheel to begin his Xfinity Series career. If all goes well, this should develop into even more races. Who knows, Tyler may have a shot at his first Cup Series start here in the next few years.”
The news comes a day after Tomassi revealed he’s on the books for two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races in 2025 with Reaume Brothers Racing, driving its No. 2 at Nashville Superspeedway and Bristol in the summer.
Tomassi is the second driver announced to MBM’s Xfinity program for 2025, following Chad Finchum.
Tomassi ran two Truck races in 2024, with a best finish of 31st at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. He also made a pair of ARCA Menards Series starts.
