Thad Moffitt Running Full ARCA Schedule With Nitro

Thad Moffitt will return to the ARCA Menards Series for a full schedule with Nitro Motorsports, Nitro announced Jan. 7.

Moffitt will drive the No. 46 for the team, a new full-time entrant into the series in a partnership with Venturini Motorsports.

“I’m excited to partner with Nitro Motorsports for the 2025 ARCA season,” Moffitt said in a team release. “This is a great opportunity for me to be competitive and win races as I continue to progress in my career. I’m especially looking forward to working with Shannon Rursch, who’s joining us as our team leader—he’s a fantastic addition to the program.”

“Thad is an ideal fit for our program,” Nitro owner Nick Tucker added. “His extensive experience in the ARCA Menards Series makes him the perfect leader for our debut season. We’ve been hard at work assembling a strong team to ensure we hit the ground running, and we can’t wait for the season opener.”

Nitro has previously competed in the Trans-Am Series.

Moffitt has 45 ARCA starts since 2017, most recently in 2022. He has nine top fives and 26 top 10s in that span.

In 2024, he began the year full time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Faction46 before the team closed. Ultimately, he made 17 series starts that year with a best finish of 18th at Darlington Raceway.
