Schedule Changes from 2024:

Cup: 2025 is the first year of a new TV deal. Both FOX Sports and NBC Sports return, while Warner Bros. Discovery via TNT and Max return for the first time since 2014. Amazon Prime Video is new to the sport.

All races on TNT will be simulcast on Max via the B/R Sports Add-On. It is unclear whether that will be an extra-cost add-on to Max by that point. All NBC and USA Network races will be simulcast on Peacock, an increase over the four races a year in the past.

The Clash has moved from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C. The race will remain a night race on FOX.

Circuit of the Americas has moved up three weeks to the third race of the season. Last year, the race was on March 24.

Las Vegas, which previously had the third race of the year, has moved back to the fifth race of the year after Phoenix.

Homestead moves out of the playoffs to the sixth race of the year. The facility will be undergoing renovation after March’s race weekend with the hopes of getting Championship Weekend back.

Richmond is down to one race in 2025. That one date is the summer race. It has been pushed back into August and moved from Sunday afternoon to Saturday night.

Bristol’s Food City 500 has been pushed back four weeks to mid-April. The date has been prone to weather problems (rain and chilly conditions) in recent years, which effectively eroded the spring race’s attendance. Hopefully, this helps.

The Cup Series will make their first visit to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City in June as part of a doubleheader weekend.

Atlanta’s second race has been pushed out of the playoffs and moved up to the last weekend of June. It is back on Saturday night as well.

The sole date at Dover Motor Speedway has been moved back from late April to mid-July. It will be the second-to-last race of the year on TNT.

Watkins Glen’s date has been returned to their traditional weekend in August. That ends the race’s time in the playoffs after one year.

World Wide Technology Raceway has been pushed back three months. It is now the second race of the Round of 16.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s sole date has been pushed to mid-September, making for the first fall race in New England since 2017. The race will start off the Round of 12.

The series will return to Mexico City on the undercard of the inaugural Cup race. It will be the first time they’ve raced there since 2008, but the circuit layout will likely be different.

The series is also returning to Rockingham Speedway for the first time since 2004. They will serve as the headlining division.

World Wide Technology Raceway will return to the schedule for the first time since 2010. Unlike all of the previous years, it will be a support race to the Cup Series.

Trucks: The season is now 25 races instead of 23.

World Wide Technology Raceway is no longer on the schedule. The Xfinity Series has replaced them. In return, the Trucks are replacing the Xfinity Series in Darlington. This is being done by moving the Truck race from the spring to Labor Day weekend. That race will now start off the playoffs.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway is back on the schedule for the first time since 2017. That race went away along with the rest of the race weekend at the time.

The Trucks will race at Rockingham Easter weekend as the main support class to the Xfinity Series. It will be the first time for them in the Sand Hills since 2013.

Michigan is also back on the schedule. The Trucks will replace the Xfinity Series and race on the two-mile oval for the first time since 2020. That race will air live on FOX.

Lime Rock Park is a new venue for the series. It will also be the first-ever live over-the-air broadcast from the 68-year-old venue. The ARCA Menards Series will run as support in a Saturday doubleheader.

Having multiple FOX races is an increase for the series. Last year, the only race scheduled to air on FOX was at World Wide Technology Raceway. However, heavy rains resulted in a long delay to the start. As a result, the broadcast ended up being pushed to FOX Sports 2.
