Devlin DeFrancesco Back in IndyCar With RLL

Devlin DeFrancesco has joined Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing full time for the 2025 NTT IndyCar Series season and beyond, the team announced Dec. 9.

DeFrancesco will pilot the No. 30 in what was announced as a multiyear deal, putting DeFrancesco in the car through at least the end of 2026.

“I’m very excited to be back in the IndyCar Series,” DeFrancesco said in a team release. “Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has an amazing history and is also on an impressive trajectory. Seeing all the work that is going on from the men and women behind the scenes, it is easy to see that this team and myself are very hungry for results. I look forward to getting started with all the great people here.”

“I’m very pleased that we are able to welcome Devlin to the team,” RLL co-owner Bobby Rahal added. “We had the chance to witness his ability while he was at Andretti [Autosport], and there were clearly times when he was quite competitive so I’m confident that we can have a lot of good races together. We’re looking forward to his contribution to the team.”

DeFrancesco did not run in the series in 2024 after competing in the 2022 and ’23 seasons for Andretti Autosport. His best finish in the series is 12th.

DeFrancesco replaces Pietro Fittipaldi in the No. 30.
