Happy Hour: Where Do We Go From Here?

On this episode of Frontstretch Happy Hour, hosts Trey Lyle, Dalton Hopkins, Michael Massie and Caleb Barnes give their own State of the Sport address following the controversies surrounding the end of the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway.

The debate between the guys range from whether the right drivers are racing for the championship to whether the playoffs should change or go away entirely.

Christopher Bell was penalized for a safety violation following his wall-ride on the last lap at Martinsville. The penalty ultimately cost him a spot in the Championship 4. The quartet give their opinions on if the penalty was fair or not.

More penalties emerged on Tuesday (Nov. 5) due to NASCAR’s belief that Austin Dillon, Ross Chastain and Bubba Wallace manipulated the finish of the race. The gang weighs in on whether the penalties were necessary or not or if they should have been more severe.

The NASCAR Cup Series champion will be decided this weekend at Phoenix Raceway. Each of the hosts explains why Tyler Reddick, Joey Logano, William Byron or Ryan Blaney will win the title.
