Tyler Reddick came through in the clutch last week! He won his way into the Championship 4 and cashed our 6-1 ticket.
Can we sweep the Round of 8 with more outright winner picks? Let’s see.
Heading to Martinsville Speedway this weekend, I think it’s going to be a great battle with the drivers who may need to win to get into the Championship race.
They are all capable, but who has the best value? Ryan Blaney is 6-1 to win and in a similar position this season as he was when he went on to win the championship last year. With him being so close to getting the victory last week at Homestead, I believe the No. 12 will be extra motivated to get it done once again.
But, all eyes will be on Hendrick Motorsports and Team Chevy. In the Spring race at this track, we saw a 1-2-3 finish with William Byron getting the win, followed by Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott.
If I had to rank those three HMS drivers heading into this one, I’d go with:
- Larson +450
- Elliott +850
- Byron +1000
With the season Larson has had, it feels like he will be able to come through when it matters most. But, Elliott has shown more speed in this Round of 8 and Byron has won here in two of the last five races at this track.
We can profit by betting on each of these four drivers mentioned to win the race.
If you want to include someone like Denny Hamlin on your card, a strategy we discussed is utilizing a prop like Team Hendrick to win or Team Chevy as a race-winning manufacturer. That opens the door for Hamlin at +450.
Additionally, with the situation some drivers are in, needing to win and advance, there are some great high-value odds to win the Championship.
If you like any of the drivers below the cutline to win this race, I would advise you to also bet on them to win the NASCAR Championship.
Hamlin +2000 to win it all, followed by Blaney +2800 and Elliott +4000 are all going to go down drastically if they punch their ticket to Phoenix.
