Through The Gears: Bristol Best Bets

It’s the final race of the first round in the NASCAR Playoffs!

With three out of the four Joe Gibbs Racing drivers at risk of being eliminated, how do they stack up value wise to win this one?

Denny Hamlin is the favorite at +500, he’s looking for his third consecutive win at this track. Ty Gibbs is +6 to the good and Martin Truex Jr. is -14 below the cutline at +1200 to win at Bristol. Finally, Christopher Bell can be aggressive with a +46 point lead over the final spot after this race.

For all JGR drivers to win, you can find that prop at +125. The odds may be small, but the value with how each driver may need to win to advance, is there.

After checking out practice stats and the starting lineup for this race, the Hendrick Motorsports cars are fast. With Alex Bowman leading the field to green, we need to have at least one of the bunch on our card.

With Kyle Larson having eight top-six finishes in the last 10 races at this track, he is the driver I will be betting on to win this race outright at +650.

Keep an eye out for some high valued drivers who have some work to do getting through the field on Saturday (Sept. 21) night.

Chase Elliott starts 10th and is +1600 to win, Ryan Blaney starts 22nd, but he had the second fastest car in practice – he’s +1400.

Despite Watkins Glen proving to be a “points first” race from the drivers last week, I think Bristol Motor Speedway will be the opposite. With the playoff field going from 16 to 12, who can step up?

How about two Stewart Haas Racing Fords? short track specialist, Josh Berry +3000 and his teammate, playoff driver in Chase Briscoe is +2800.

Good pick. I agreed with you. When he’s on, he’s on.
