Stock Car Scoop: Is Chase Elliott Back?

After a war of attrition closed out the NASCAR Cup Series’ visit to Texas Motor Speedway with a bevy of cautions, Chase Elliott emerged victorious to snap a winless drought of over a year on Sunday (April 14).

About the author

Adam Cheek joined Frontstretch as a contributing writer in January 2019. A 2020 graduate of VCU, he works as a producer and talent for Audacy Richmond's radio stations. Chase never left! He just hasn’t won as much as he used to. I figure he has a 1 in 9 chance in every event… four Mr. H cars and five Reverend Joe cars.

He’s still #3 at HMS. And no way is he a favorite to win the championship. Scum Hamlin seems to have a winnable car every week.
